Can you accept the challenge?

Can you imagine going 30 days without eating one meal outside of your home? No snacks or drinks from the store while doing your shopping? How much money do you think your family could save? Would you be able to afford that new playground the kids have been asking for? The vacation you have been wanting to go on but fall short of the goal? Join our family as we start this very challenge?

Here are all the details: No eating out- NOTHING!

Don’t grab a snack or candy at check out no matter how much you are craving it. Take snacks and drinks from home to help curve those cravings. We will start April 1st, which will allow everyone enough time to buy food and create a meal plan. We will continue for 30 days and see how much we save at the end of 30 days!

Take a moment at some point during your day and check in with the group and let us know what your plans are for meals. Let us know how hard or easy it is for you. How often are you shopping, are you creating a weekly meal plan? Do you need help coming up with different meals? Do you have picky eaters who are dying for this to be over?

The reason behind this maddness…

I am turning 30 this year and my life has always been a roller coaster of ups and downs and a few times that the roller coaster has gone upside down for a second too long. We are finally back on our feet and making ends meet a little longer than they were before I went back to work two years ago. I miss the moments with my kids but I know I am an adult and need to do what is best for them. What is going to keep them happy, a roof over heads, lights on and food on the table. I am hoping to do back to the basic and eat dinner at the end of a long day, talk about our days and not run for the t.v. I want a family were spending time together isn’t something we have to do but enjoy doing.

At the end of these 30 days I will take all the money we saved and put it towards a very special event taking place in May, a vow renewal! How much money do you think you will save? Leave a comment below, I look forward to hearing from everyone.
